If you visit my primary website, www.houstoncounselor.me, you may be able to get a better idea of who I am as a therapist, and potentially as a TX LPC Supervisor. I try to equip my interns with the knowledge and skills they will need in order to begin their own practice at the conclusion of the internship.
Here are a few things you should know about me:
- I am a bit of a “techie” and believe in utilizing modern technology to make life easier on all levels (as evidenced by my use of various online video portals for online counseling and online LPC Supervision as well as my use of electronic practice management tools). I also create videos and animations, some of which appear on this website. As a matter of fact, if you plan on interning with me, I would suggest that you invest in an IPad or another tablet that allows you to make use of Skype, FaceTime and other “conveniences”.
- I love hypnosis! I believe clinical hypnosis is a perfect adjunct to traditional psychotherapy. I would love to share my knowledge of this with you so that you might utilize it in your practice if you so desire.
- I am flexible. I understand that many of my interns work and have families and can not always meet during my office hours. Skype and other more HIPPA compliant platforms can be used to help us meet for your weekly supervision.
Regardless of where you are in the state of Texas, as a TX LPC Supervisor, I can be provide supervision to you, provided that you can meet with me via video and participate in monthly face to face sessions. A site visit is still required and will be arranged at a time that is convenient for both of us.
